Promthep Cape
When visiting Phuket you will no doubt see postcards of beautiful sunsets. These were taken at Promthep Cape. Promthep Cape is located at the southernmost point of Phuket Island and offers a spectacular view of the sea and coastline. At sunset it becomes a very popular point with hordes of tourists all descending on the same space in hopes of capturing a beautiful sunset. Unfortunately we would not catch a magnificent sunset, but it was still an enjoyable experience.

Promthep Cape is a small peninsula that juts >> out into the water. On its ridge are several palm trees which add to its silhouette when the Sun is setting.
<< Arriving at Promthep Cape well before the appointed sunset time we explored different vantage points to select our position for the sunset photographs. Here I am giving Anne the "OK" signal that I did not fall down the mountain.

With the perfect site selected now all we had to do was pass the time until the sunset. That was the easy part!
