Last Will and Testament
James Lee Drewry (1905 - 1980)
Southampton County, Va.

I, JAMES L. DREWRY, of Drewryville, Southampton County, Virginia, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all wills and codicils heretofore made by me.
ARTICLE I. I direct that my debts be paid as soon after my death as may be practicable.
ARTICLE II. I give, devise and bequeath unto my nephews Burton Leigh Drewry and David Barnes Drewry, in fee simple and equal shares, all of my property located in and near the village of Drewryville, in Drewryville Magisterial District, Southampton County, Virginia, known as "Magnolia", with the exception, however, of my residence property consisting of lots number 6, 7 and 8 as shown on a plat entitled "Map Showing Property Belonging to James L. Drewry, Town of Drewryville, Southampton County, Virginia", made by Shearin-Atkinson, January 14, 1946 and of record in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of Southampton County, Virginia, in Plat Book 5 at page 89.
ARTICLE III. I give and devise unto my niece and nephew, Betsy Nottingham Mendelson and John E. Nottingham, III, in equal shares, all my right, title and interest, the same being an undivided one-half (1/2) interest, in and to the tract or parcel of land known as the "Vick" or "Whitehorne" tract, situated about four miles west of Drewryville, in Drewryville Magisterial District, Southampton County, Virginia, containing 263.67 acres as shown by a plat thereof made by Thos. D. Newsome, C.E., of record in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of Southampton County, Virginia, in Plat Book 3 at page 72.
ARTICLE IV. All the rest and residue of my estate, real, personal and mixed, wheresoever situate, including my residence property mentioned hereinabove in paragraph two of this my last will and testament, I give, devise and bequeath unto my sister, Mamie L. Nottingham, in fee simple.
ARTICLE V. I nominate and appoint my sister Mamie L. Nottingham, executrix of my estate and require that she not be required to give any security on her bond.

CODICIL TO THE LAST WILL OF JAMES L. DREWRY
I, JAMES L. DREWRY, of Drewryville, Southampton County, Virginia, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be a Codicil to my Last Will and Testament, executed by me on September 10, 1975, in the presence of Christine B. Norton, Patricia A. Phelps and Charles B. Rowe, (sometimes hereinafter referred to as my Will).
A. I give and bequeath to my nephew Burton Leigh Drewry, my cut glass decanter and matching glasses, the silver which belonged to my grandfather and the sum of $5,000.00 in cash.
B. I give and bequeath to my nephew, David Barnes Drewry, my father's sabre which has his name on it and my father's student lamp.
In all other respects I do hereby confirm and ratify my said will.
